The Concept “Wolf” in Kazakh Language: Traditional Conceptualisations

Abstract The current article attempts to analyze the concept of “wolf” and its conceptualisations by native Kazakh people through study idioms, set expressions, proverbs, sayings, quotations with this component. objective was conduct conceptual analysis in order discern figurative-associative evaluative meaning “wolf”. By presenting cognitive model linguistic consciousness Kazakhs, conceptualisation is demonstrated, associative nature universal, ideological ethnocultural features are manifested. It found that has various conceptualisations, reflecting Kazakhs’ naive national-linguistic picture world evokes interpretations positive negative connotations as well.
